Mission Statement
SON-Life Camp & Retreat Center exists to provide a setting where people can enter or enhance a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Core Values
We are a Christian organization, Biblically based, promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ, acknowledging the work of the Holy Spirit, and giving God the Father all praise and glory.
We believe in a camp setting, with an outdoor emphasis on God's creation.
We focus on spiritually impacting people for Jesus Christ.
We believe in relational ministry, where people are valued and personally cared for.
We uphold prayer as a vital tool in ministry, praying for each team member and camper.
We maintain that youth are an important focus in ministry.
We will remain fiscally responsible, being good stewards of all God has entrusted to us.
Vision Statement
To see ministry happening at camp everyday in multiple ways, leading people to Christ or bringing them to a deeper relationship with Him.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God, inspired by Him as the only infallible reference for faith and practice.
- We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that Jesus Christ, God's only Son, who is fully God, became truly man, born of the Virgin Mary, for the purpose of redeeming man from death and destruction. He accomplished this task through His voluntary death and shed blood on the cross, and His bodily resurrection from the grave to provide an all-sufficient sacrifice in order that through Him believers may be justified before God and experience a full life now and in eternity. Believers now anticipate His visible return to earth known as the second coming.
- We believe that after Christ's death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven, that He sent the Holy Spirit who is also fully God, to work in the hearts of men to reveal Jesus Christ and empower believers towards effective service in God's Kingdom.
- We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that his image was marred by sin and disobedience, causing man to be alienated and separated from God, condemned to eternal judgment outside the work of Christ.
- We believe that through Christ's substitutionary and complete sacrifice, that man can be restored to communion and fellowship with God through repentance and faith in Him, apart from human merit or works.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the redeemed and unredeemed, the redeemed to the eternal presence and enjoyment of God in heaven, the unredeemed to judgment and eternal punishment in hell.
- We believe the Christian life is characterized by dedicated service to Jesus Christ, with the result that all praise, glory, and honor be given to Almighty God.
- We believe the church is commissioned to bear witness to Christ's work by proclaiming Him as Lord to all the earth and that a Christian camp is an extension of the church universal.
